Sharda University emerge as champions in second edition of Jabong football tournament
Delhi-NCR[India], Jan. 31(ANI): Sharda University have emerged as the champions of the Jabong turf war second season, 5x5 football tournament powered by hummel. Sharda University beat Greater Noida Institute of Technology by ten goals to zero in the finals. The champions were given Jabong turf war trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. More than 15 colleges from Delhi NCR participated in the 5x5 campus football tournament held at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management. Anupam Vishwarma from Sharda University won the player of the tournament award and received a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. "We are extremely delighted to welcome all the guests and celebrities to the second edition of Jabong turf war. The grit and determination displayed by the participating teams was truly amazing to watch. The competitiveness showcased by the players only reinforces our belief of promoting such events to increase the awareness for sports in the country," said Rahul Taneja, the Chief Business Officer of Jabong. "Hummel and turf war is about doing your best at the pitch and enjoy fun, fashion and football. It's the perfect platform to launch our brand in India. A big thank you to Jabong and congratulations with a successful turf war," added Henrik Svenning, Head of International Markets, Hummel. The event was hosted by MTV VJ Clince Varghese. (ANI)
