New Delhi [India], August 12 (ANI): Congress leader TS Singh Deo said that the party is discussing how they can build an organisation where both old and new people would get an opportunity and perform when asked about the factionalism of the Pradesh Congress Committee in Odisha.
Speaking on the factionalism that had dissolved the Pradesh Congress Committee in Odisha, Deo on Monday said, "Any decision can be taken by the organisation. In Odisha, we have recently seen the entire body of a state get dissolved, including the PCC president and all the units of Congress. We are seriously discussing how we can build an organisation where both older and newer people can get opportunities and perform. We will work on this to strengthen our party."
Deo was at a party meeting in Delhi on the functioning of the Chattisgarh Congress.
On this matter, Deo said, "We discussed the decisions that should be taken to contribute better towards the state and people of Chattisgarh through the Congress party. We spoke about--if we have to emerge as a responsible representative for the people of Chhattisgarh, then what shortcomings do we need to address."
When asked if he was in for the dissolution of the Chattisgarh Committee just like Odisha, Deo said it was about time and the circumstances. He further stated that they can't change a system so fast that it would disrupt the whole organisation.
"Its not about Chattisgarh but about time and what is happening in the country. We will take the decision in time. We can't change a system so fast that it would disrupt the whole organisation but we have to make changes in order to keep the organisation going. But we need to understand to make the change on the basis of circumstances," he said. (ANI)
