Separatists' children enjoy quality education abroad while Valley's kids suffer: Centre
New Delhi [India], Nov. 6 (ANI): With schools being gutted down on a regular basis in the Valley with the unrest prolonging for over three months now, the Centre on Sunday lashed out at the Separatists for their stand in the matter, adding that their children were safely ensconced abroad with quality education , while the children in the Valley suffered. Speaking to ANI here, Union Minister Jitendra Singh assured of normalcy returning in the Valley with the support of the state government. "Slowly educational institutions will reopen again as this was for the first time that children along with their parents came down on streets to lead the demonstration, so that their education does not suffer. And people have also realized that they are being dragged in some big conspiracy," he said. "Children of separatist leaders are getting education from abroad, but children of poor, studying in Government schools are suffering the most," he added. The minister further said that people also want normalcy so that their daily routine is not affected. As many as 32 schools have been gutted by unknown persons since the unrest began in Kashmir on July 8 following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces. Jammu and Kashmir high court last week took suo moto cognisance of the incidents and directed the state government to ensure that the schools are protected.(ANI)
