Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Mar 13 (ANI): Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the senior leaders of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee will meet tomorrow to discuss and decide on seats for allies in the state.
The meeting is likely to be attended by Ashok Chavan, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Prithviraj Chavan and Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, among others.
This comes a day after Radhakrishna’s son Sujay Vikhe Patil joined the BJP in presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He said that he took the decision by going against the wishes of his father as he was impressed by the ruling party's work.
"I have taken this decision against my father’s wishes ... I don’t know how much my parents will support this decision but I will try my best to make my family proud by working under the guidance of BJP... I think the Chief Minister and other BJP MLAs have been supportive and helped me take this decision," Sujay said.
In Maharashtra, elections will be held in four phases - on April 11, 18, 23 and 29. (ANI)
