Scores of medical college employees protest, take mass leave in Imphal

Imphal (Manipur) [India], Oct.5 (ANI): Scores of contracted employees of the Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Imphal recently staged a protest against its management for not fulfilling their demands related to their wages and other contract- related concerns.

Scores of medical college employees protest, take mass leave in Imphal
Imphal (Manipur) [India], Oct.5 (ANI): Scores of contracted employees of the Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Imphal recently staged a protest against its management for not fulfilling their demands related to their wages and other contract- related concerns. From October 4 onwards, these employees have decided to take mass casual leave to express their anguish against the authorities Around 245 employees work on an adhoc basis in the hospital. The agitators held demonstrations in front of RIMS OPD this week and also marched till the administrative block of the institute. They have submitted a memorandum to the Director of the RIMS. RIMS Secretary for the Contract Employees Association Moirangthem Ekanta Singh said that if the authorities fail to meet their demands, the agitation could take on a more intense form. (ANI)
