SC refuses to put stay on notification declaring Neelgai, monkeys, wild boars as vermin
New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea seeking stay on the government's notification declaring Neelgai, monkeys and wild boars as vermin in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Bihar. The apex court has asked the petitioner to approach the High Court for the same. The court had earlier issued a caveat, saying the culling of wild animals can take place only when they enter areas of human habitation and they cannot be hunted in their homes. The court also asked the petitioners to give representation to respective governments and the Centre about their objections. (ANI)
