Saradha scam: Madan Mitra granted bail by Alipore Court

New Delhi [India], Sept. 9 (ANI): The Alipore court on Friday granted bail to Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and former West Bengal transport minister Madan Mitra in the Saradha scam case.

Saradha scam: Madan Mitra granted bail by Alipore Court
New Delhi [India], Sept. 9 (ANI): The Alipore court on Friday granted bail to Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and former West Bengal transport minister Madan Mitra in the Saradha scam case. Mitra would be released from the Alipore Central Jail once he furnishes a bail bond of Rs. 30 lakh. Mitra was arrested in December 2014 for his alleged role in cheating investors of over Rs 1,000 crore in the Ponzi scam. He was briefly admitted in a hospital after he complained of chest pain and breathlessness. Mitra was taken back to Alipore Central Jail last June after he was discharged. (ANI)
