Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik creates Guinness record
New Delhi [India], Feb. 11 (ANI): India's renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Friday created a Guinness World Record for building the world's tallest sandcastle on the beach of eastern Puri city. Sudarsan and his 45 students took about nine days to make the 48 feet-high sculpture under the theme of 'World Peace'. The earlier record was reserved in the name of American artist Ted Siebert, who had built a 45 feet-high sandcastle at the Miami Beach in 2015. "Today, we have taken the measurement of this sandcastle and I am very happy to announce that this is now new Guinness world record," said Guinness World record official, Swapnil Dangarikar. Pattnaik has won many awards for his sand art and is known for his creativity of combining art and activism. He has participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards for the country. He has also been conferred with the fourth highest civilian award- Padma Shri in 2014. Pattnaik's sand sculpture titled 'Mahatma Gandhi - World Peace' won the people's choice prize at the ninth Moscow Sand Sculpture Championship 2016. (ANI)

“Have no cure if you believe to be above Speaker”: Kiren Rijiju

"When you look at Constitution, and the rules of the house, no one has challenged any decision of the Speaker. That day I was upset for the fact that the Opposition MP said that 'I do not need permission from anyone to speak in Parliament', this is on record. 'This is my right to speak in Parliament', our Leader of Opposition said this. So I was thinking, there are many senior members in Congress, why did they not explain that in this House, PM, minister, LoP can be present but one needs permission from speaker to speak," Rijiju said in the House.
