"Samajwadi Party will get zero seats in UP": Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Saturday said that Samajwadi Party will not win a single seat out of the 80 constituencies in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 11 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Saturday said that Samajwadi Party will not win a single seat out of the 80 constituencies in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.
"Samajwadi Party will get zero seats in Uttar Pradesh. Their support base has been shifted and the people have refused them. They have not forgotten the anarchy and Gunda Raj (during SP time)," Brajesh Pathak told ANI.
Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Friday that the INDIA Alliance and Akhilesh Yadav are heading for a comfortable victory in Uttar Pradesh.
"I give it to you in writing, a storm of INDIA Alliance is coming to Uttar Pradesh. I give it to you in writing, BJP is going to face its biggest defeat in the country, here in Uttar Pradesh"."Uttar Pradesh paves the way for the country. Uttar Pradesh has made up its mind that a change has to set in here, that a change has to set in in India and that is why the decision has been made. The public has made up its mind," he said.
SP and Congress are allies in the opposition INDIA bloc formed to take on the BJP in the ongoing 2024 general elections.
Voting for phases one, two and three were held on April 19, April 26 and May 7. Next, the state will once again poll in and four on May 13.The Uttar Pradesh electorate will also vote in phases five, six and seven on May 20, May 23 and June 1 respectively. The votes will be counted on June 4.
In the 2019 polls, the BJP emerged triumphant, securing 62 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh, while two seats were clinched by its ally Apna Dal (S). Mayawati's BSP managed to secure 10 seats, while Akhilesh Yadav's SP garnered five and the Congress Party secured only one seat. (ANI)
