New Delhi [India], Mar 19 (ANI): Businessman Robert Vadra on Tuesday hit out at the BJP leaders for making "disgraceful remarks" against women and asked people to revolt for better and equal future of women in the country.
Vadra shared the screenshots of news related to remarks made against his wife and Congress general secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and BSP supremo Mayawati.
In a Facebook post, Vadra said, “Disgraceful remarks by the BJP ministers against women of our country… Get up people of India, act n revolt for the better and equal future for the women of our country. These misogynist remarks n thought process needs to be decimated n changed forever.”
His remark came after a day, the union minister Mahesh Sharma referred to Congress president Rahul Gandhi as "Pappu" and called Priyanka as "Pappu ki Pappi".
"Pappu says he wants to become the Prime Minister. So there is Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, Pappu and now Pappi has also stepped in. Was she not the daughter of the country earlier? Was she not the daughter of Congress? Was she not the daughter of Sonia family earlier. What new she has brought?" Sharma said addressing a public gathering in Sikandrabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier in the day, BJP MLA Surendra Narayan Singh passed a misogynistic remark against Mayawati and said that the former chief minister is a hedonist who 'takes facial everyday' and 'colours her hair" to look young.
"She takes facial every day. The person who herself takes facial daily is telling our leader that he is 'shaukeen'! Wearing clothes is not being 'shaukeen'. Colouring hair at the age of 60 to look young is 'shaukeen'. Her hair have turned grey but she colours it black," said Singh who represents the Rohaniya constituency of Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)
