New Delhi [India], Oct. 20 (ANI): Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Thursday justified former Congress leader Rita Bahuguna's criticism of Rahul Gandhi for his "Khoon ki Dalali" remark, adding that this view had been met with widespread condemnation from across the nation. Bahuguna had said, "When the whole world accepted that we carried out surgical strikes, I didn't like the way the Congress and other parties questioned it. Words like 'Khoon ki dalali' were used that saddened me." When asked about the status of Delhi Police's ongoing probe on the missing JNU student Najeeb Ahmed, Rijiju said, "From day one, police is on the job. They are making efforts and have sent the team in different directions." Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today spoke to Delhi Police Commissioner Alok Kumar Verma and asked him to submit a report on the whole episode. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on any information on the missing JNU student. Meanwhile, no trace of Najeeb Ahmad was found even on the sixth day after he went missing on October 15. Ahmad was allegedly assaulted by ABVP activists on October 14 during a mess election campaign atMahi-Mandvi hostel. From the next day, he was nowhere to be found. According to students, he left the hostel without his wallet, mobile and even his footwear. (ANI)
