Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 6 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy telephoned Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and congratulated him for his party's landslide victory in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
The Chief Minister extended heartfelt greetings to Naidu, whose party is now a key constituent of the ruling BJP-led NDA at the Centre.
Revanth Reddy said Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should continue cordial relations and cooperate in resolving pending matters related to the Andhra Pradesh bifurcation in a friendly atmosphere.
Revanth Reddy held a review of the results of the Mahabubabad parliamentary Constituency on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier on Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin met Chandrababu Naidu at the Delhi Airport. They met as they were leaving for their home states after attending the meetings of their respective alliances.
Stalin said that he was confident that Naidu would play a crucial role in the Union Government, advocating for the protection of the rights of the southern states.
"I conveyed my best wishes to him and expressed hope that we will collaborate to strengthen the ties between the brotherly states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. I am confident that he will play a crucial role in the Union Government, advocating for the southern states and protecting our rights," Stalin said in the post on X.
INDIA bloc and the BJP-led NDA held meetings on Wednesday, a day after the results of the Lok Sabha elections.
TDP registered a landslide victory in the southern state by winning 135 out of 175 seats in the Andhra assembly. Janasena Party led by Pawan Kalyan and the BJP won 21 and eight seats. The ruling YSRCP could win only 11 seats. BJP, TDP and Janasena Party are part of the NDA. (ANI)
