Garwa (Jharkhand) [India], November 4 (ANI): After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to poll-bound Jharkhand on Monday, State BJP President Babulal Marandi said that PM Modi spoke Jharkhand-centric and the response from the youth he was getting during his address was visible.
Marandi told ANI, "The PM started the election campaign from Gadwa today. The PM spoke about how the Jharkhand government has stalled Central government schemes here. The response from the youth the PM was getting to his address was visible. The PM spoke Jharkhand-centric. The Tribals will be kept out of the purview of UCC...It is a matter of concern for us that the tribal population is decreasing."
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for insulting former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and said that JMM left no stone unturned in insulting a tribal son.
"What did these people (JMM) do to Champai Soren ji... these people left no stone unturned in insulting a tribal son. Those for whom nothing is bigger than their family, how will they care for you people? Such selfish parties have to be taught a good lesson," PM Modi said addressing a rally in Jharkhand's Garhwa.
Champai Soren resigned from all positions and the primary membership of JMM on August 28. He became the chief minister of Jharkhand on February 2, shortly after Hemant Soren resigned as the CM before being arrested by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in a money laundering case. In less than two months, Soren had to step down to allow the return of Hemant Soren to the chair following the latter's bail in the case.
Labelling the JMM-led coalition in Jharkhand a "Ghuspaithiya Bandhan" (infiltrators' alliance) and "Mafia Ka Ghulam" (mafia's slave) for allegedly supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the people of Jharkhand are being forced to migrate.
Addressing a rally in Garhwa, the Prime Minister claimed that the mafia has overtaken the Hemant Soren government and a vote for the BJP will be a stroke on the "mafia system".
PM Modi said that JMM, Congress, and RJD are using Bangladeshi infiltrators for 'vote bank politics', facilitating them to settle in Jharkhand which is a threat to social structure, making the situation serious in Jharkhand.
The Jharkhand Assembly elections is set to be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23. In the previous assembly election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, the BJP won 25 and Congress won 16 seats. (ANI)
