New Delhi [India], May 17 (ANI): The national capital woke up to a breezy Wednesday, as Delhi witnessed light showers bringing a much needed break from the sweltering heat.

New Delhi [India], May 17 (ANI): The national capital woke up to a breezy Wednesday, as Delhi witnessed light showers bringing a much needed break from the sweltering heat. The drizzling gave respite from the soaring temperatures which has set the national capital on boil. The MeT office had forecasted overcast conditions with developments of thunder and lightning in some parts of the city yesterday. Meanwhile, intense heatwave conditions continue in several parts of the country. Hot weather conditions prevailed in the national capital with the mercury settling at 43 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature rose to settle at 29 degrees Celsius which is three notches above the normal. Delhi's power demand also soared to the year's highest at a staggering 6,021 Mega Watt. (ANI)
