Real life 'Bunty' robber caught by Delhi Police at IGI airport
New Delhi [India], Jan. 7 (ANI): If you thought 'Bunty- Babli' only existed in movies then hold on till you read this development where a robbery was done on same modus operandi as was shown in the 2005 hit movie 'Bunty aur Babli,' but unlike the movie, the Delhi Police has successfully nabbed the thief, putting an end to a series of thefts. The Delhi Police's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport unit on Saturday arrested 'Bunty' aka Rajesh Kapoor in a case of theft. Rajesh on Thursday had stolen three credit cards of a passenger at IGI, which he used to buy 16 bottles of imported perfume from the duty free shop there. The complainant, on arriving at IGI, realised that her three credit cards which were kept in her cabin bag had been stolen. She got aware about it on receiving message about shopping of $ 2016 from her credit cards. On filing the complaint, a team of police probed into the matter and found that the shopping had been done from the Duty Free shop in the Departure Wing of the IGI Airport. Subsequently, the CCTV Footage was analysed and Rajesh was zeroed in. His movements were trailed and it came to knowledge that he self offloaded from Flight No. AI-191. The details of Rajesh were taken from Airlines but his address was not available. However, SHO IGI Airport Satish Malik, who is probing the matter, was aware of a similar incident which took place in the same manner, where an accused by the same name of Rajesh Kapoor had been arrested. He was instantly identified and raids were conducted at his given address. Rajesh had changed his address and sources were deployed to track him down. Finally Rajesh was apprehended from Delhi's Paharganj area. The investigation in the matter is still underway. (ANI)
