Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], Aug. 30 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh felicitated 103 sportspersons and coaches on National Sports Day on Monday.

Raman Singh felicitates sportspersons on National Sports Day
Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], Aug. 30 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh felicitated 103 sportspersons and coaches on National Sports Day on Monday. "Sports talent will be supported, nurtured and groomed to excel on the world stage like the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Asiad. Pension scheme for the sports-persons who are above 60 years old and who have participated in Olympics, Commonwealth Games or Asiad will be launched," he said. Raman Singh announced the launch of a tennis academy in Raipur and a games village in Bilaspur. Indian hockey player Renuka Yadav was also presented Rs. 10 lakh for her performance at the Rio Olympics 2016 and was assured a job in the state sports department. (ANI)
