Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 26 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that while the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is being built under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is the public who should be credited for its construction.
The construction work at the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
While addressing a public rally in Gorakhpur in support of BJP candidate Ravi Kishan, Yogi Adityanath said, "If you go to Ayodhya today, it will feel as if this is the Ayodhya of the time when Lord Ram was born there. The Ram Temple has been built under the leadership of PM Modi, but it's you who should be credited because you people gave the strength to Modi ji and Yogi ji."
He added further, "You (people) can say to your future generation that you have made the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. If they ask how tell them that you have made the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by making Narendra Modi Prime Minister and Yogi Adityanath Chief Minister..."
Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the UP CM said, "Under the leadership of Modi, the country is gaining respect, the borders are being secured, terrorism and Naxalism have been finished, and big development works are ongoing... We are educating poor and orphan children."
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also launched a scathing attack on Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), saying, "They (Congress-SP) say that if they form the government, they will implement personal law. Personal law means dictatorship rule. Daughters will not be able to go to school, and women will not be able to go out of their houses."
Reiterating the BJP's commitment to follow the principles of the Constitution, Yogi Adityanath said, "The country will work on the principles of the Constitution by BR Ambedkar and not any Sharia law. The BJP will run the country based on the Constitution of BR Ambedkar."
Meanwhile, Yogi Adityanath also took to his official X handle and posted about his public rally in Gorakhpur. He said, "BJP's victory is already certain in Gorakhpur, the holy city of Shiva avatar Mahayogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath ji, but on June 1, the people here will vote to create a new record. The result coming on June 4 will be historic because the people of the country are going to form the Modi government for the third time..."
Ravi Kishan also took to his official X handle and posted about Adityanath's address in Gorakhpur. He said, "The resolution of developed India will be realized, 'Phir ek baar Modi Sarkar.' Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath addressed a huge public gathering at Adarsh Inter College in Belwar, Gorakhpur..."
The BJP candidate asserted that Gorakhpur Lok Sabha has become completely Modi and BJP-oriented and added, "Efforts are on to make the country corruption-free under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi... During the campaigning, the support of the people of Gorakhpur Lok Sabha to BJP and the immense enthusiasm of all the workers is indicating that the people have made up their mind to make every booth full of lotus."
13 parliamentary constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will go to the polls in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections on June 1. The results will be announced on June 4. (ANI)
