Rain lashes parts of Delhi, bringing respite for residents from scorching heat
New Delhi [India], Apr. 5 (ANI): The residents of Delhi breathed a sigh of relief as rain lashed several parts of the national capital on Wednesday, bringing relief from the scorching heat. Delhi was reeling under dry heat for over the last few days with temperature hovering around 35-36 degrees Celsius. Even on Tuesday night, it had become cloudy and drizzled in some parts of the city. The MeT Department had forecasted likelihood of rain, dust storm and thunderstorm due to an active western disturbance across northwest India. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in the city was 39 degrees Celsius, seven degrees above normal. (ANI)
