Rahul not use to listening to a PM who speaks his mind: BJP
New Delhi [India], Feb. 19 (ANI): Taking a jibe at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi over his continuous attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said that the former is finding it difficult to adjust to a Prime Minister who speaks his mind. "Rahul Gandhi is used to a Prime Minster who does not speak. He obvious finds it very inconvenient to have a Prime Minister who speaks his mind and wants people to come around and do their duties towards the country," BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi told ANI, in a jibe clearly directed at former prime minister Manmohan Singh. Earlier this month, Prime Minister Modi had earned the wrath of the grand old party by training guns at Dr. Manmohan Singh during the Parliament session. "Dr. Manhmohan has played a significant role in the economic system of India. But during the most corrupt regime in the nation, there was not a single corruption charge against him. This art of taking bath wearing a raincoat must be learnt from Manmohan Singh," the Prime Minister said, setting off cries of outrage by the Congress. Earlier on Friday, Rahul Gandhi said Prime Minister Modi remembers farmers only at the time of elections. Comparing the Congress with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Gandhi said the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) also waived off farmers' loans even when it was not in power in Uttar Pradesh. "Prime Minister Modi said farmers' loans will be waived off as soon as the BJP comes to power in Uttar Pradesh. The UPA also waived off loans, but was it in power in UP then?" said Gandhi while addressing a rally here. Continuing his tirade against the Prime Minister, Gandhi said demonetisation has adversely affected small-scale businesses, traders and farmers. (ANI)
