New Delhi [India], October 20 (ANI): Businessman Robert Vadra on Friday asserted that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would be a good leader and would do good for the country adding that he will make sure "politics of religion is not the focus."
"I would always speak about my family. It's obvious because I know him (Rahul Gandhi), I know internally what he's thinking. I know that he'll be very good for the country as a leader and I think as you know, it wouldn't be for a post or for a position," Robert Vadra said.
He further said that Rahul Gandhi would do it just to make sure everybody's together, and make sure politics of religion is not the focus.
"He would talk about unemployment, about women's safety. I think collectively, the INDIA alliance whoever they think the leader would be will be accepted by the nation. All parties will come together and come to that understanding and know who the country will prefer. So we'll see in time," he added.
Businessman Vadra said that Rahul Gandhi would be a good leader and would do good for the country.
"I would always think that Rahul Gandhi would be a good leader and he would do good for the country and good for the opposition, as in, like the alliance," he said.
Rahul Gandhi is campaigning in Telangana for a third day. Voting in Telangana for the 119 seats is scheduled to be held on November 30.
Polls will be held in Mizoram on November 7, Chhattisgarh on November 7 and November 17, Madhya Pradesh on November 17, Rajasthan on November 25 and Telangana on November 30. The counting of votes will take place on December 3 in all the states.
The Model Code of Conduct has come into force with the announcement of poll dates.
The elections to five states are crucial as they are being held months before the Lok Sabha elections in April-May next year. (ANI)
