"Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav collectively want to turn Bihar into Bengal...": Acharya Pramod Krishnam

Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 15 (ANI): Following the Rashtriya Janata Dal-Congress meeting in the national capital, former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam claimed on Tuesday that Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav want to turn Bihar into Bengal.
"Mamata Banerjee wants to turn West Bengal into Bangladesh, and Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav collectively want to turn Bihar into Bengal. The Hindus of Bihar have to take the call whether they want to see it happening," Acharya Pramod Krishnam told ANI.
These remarks come after the Congress-RJD meeting, which was conducted at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's residence to discuss poll strategy and seat sharing.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi, party General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, and others attended the meeting. On the RJD side, MP Manoj Jha, MP Sanjay Yadav, and other leaders were present.
"This time, change is certain in Bihar. Today, we met the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav and discussed the strengthening of the Mahagathbandhan. In the coming elections, we will give the people of Bihar a strong, positive, just and welfare-oriented option. Bihar will be freed from the BJP and its opportunistic alliance," Kharge said.
Reacting to the Murshidabad violence, the former Congress leader said that the Hindus of the country are in grave danger.
"The Hindus of the country are in grave danger, and the Union Home Minister and Prime Minister should give it a thought," he added.
The violence in Murshidabad was sparked by protests against the Waqf Amendment Act, which has been a contentious issue in the region. The protests turned violent, resulting in the deaths of three people and injuries to several others, with widespread property damage.
The Bihar Legislative Assembly election for all 243 constituencies is scheduled to be held in October or November this year. The last assembly elections were held in October-November 2020. (ANI)
