Bhiwani (Haryana) [India], September 17 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, describing him as a "machine of lies" who can lie in any language.
Addressing a public rally here today, Shah challenged Gandhi to clarify his position on whether the removal of Article 370 in Kashmir was a good or bad decision.
"Rahul Gandhi is a machine of lies who can lie in any language. He should clarify whether removing Article 370 from Kashmir was a good or bad thing. In Parliament, he says that Samajwadi Party MPs won in Ayodhya. Winning and losing are part of elections, but he claims they have defeated the purpose of Ayodhya. Modi Ji has installed Ram Lalla in a grand temple by performing the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. This doesn't sit well with Rahul Gandhi," Shah said.
Further intensifying his criticism of Congress, Shah stated that for 40 years, soldiers had been demanding "One Rank, One Pension," but Congress never fulfilled that demand.
"I want to ask Hooda Sahib, that Haryana is the state that sends the most soldiers to the army. For 40 years, soldiers have been demanding 'One Rank, One Pension,' but Congress never granted it. Then the people elected Modi Ji as Prime Minister in 2014, and by 2015, he made it a reality. We introduced the Agniveer scheme, but Congress, especially Rahul Gandhi, is politicising it. When I told Chief Minister Nayab Saini ji that the Home Department of the Government of India and police across the country have given 20% reservation to Agniveers, I asked what he would do separately. He said he would provide government jobs to all Agniveers of Haryana," Shah said.
Shah further asserted that Hooda and his associates, whose sole focus is spreading lies, cannot be trusted.
"What I promise, I deliver, and whatever Modi Ji commits to, it gets done. No Agniveer will remain jobless--this is the BJP's guarantee. Strengthening the army has been Modi Ji's work," he added.
"In our 10-year government, there isn't a single district left where we haven't built quality sports grounds. After this, the BJP government will set up coaching institutes in every block and tehsil. Hooda Sahib has ruled here for a long time. You tell me how much you used to procure at MSP. They only procured four crops under MSP, but Nayab Singh procures 24 crops. The maximum procurement at MSP has occurred during BJP's 10 years in power," Shah remarked.
The Home Minister also highlighted that in Bhiwani alone, PM Modi has directly transferred Rs 297 crore to the bank accounts of 1,40,032 farmers.
"During Hooda Ji's time, even when Congress was in power at the centre, Haryana received Rs 41,000 crore, while Modi Ji's government has provided Rs 1,43,000 crore over the last 10 years," Shah noted.
He went on to say that the country remembers Haryana for three main reasons.
"First, after independence, Haryana has sent the most soldiers to various fronts. Second, when the country had to import food and there was a need to fill reserves, Haryana's farmers played a key role. Lastly, in the recent Olympics and Paralympics, when India is mentioned in the rankings, Haryana stands at the top. Haryana has produced brave soldiers and athletes," he emphasised.
Turning his attention to the Congress-National Conference alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah alleged that their agenda is to release all terrorists after the elections.
"There are elections in Kashmir, and Rahul Gandhi has gone there and allied with Omar Abdullah. Their agenda is to release all terrorists after the elections and start negotiations with Pakistan. As long as the BJP is in power, no one can even look at Kashmir with ill intent. They want to bring back Article 370. Whether it's Hooda Ji or Rahul Gandhi, Article 370 will never be reinstated. We are the party that believes even Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is a part of India," he stated.
Shah concluded by emphasising that thousands of soldiers from Haryana have been martyred for Kashmir, and these individuals seek to bring back terrorism to the region. (ANI)
