"Rahul Gandhi has no agenda other than abusing PM Modi": BJP's Nalin Kohli

New Delhi [India], October 29 (ANI): Hitting out at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's 'PM Modi will dance for votes' remarks, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nalin Kohli on Wednesday asserted that the leader of the opposition has "no agenda other than abusing the prime minister".
Speaking to ANI, the BJP leader said, "Rahul Gandhi often uses inappropriate words, and when it comes to PM Modi, he and many of his Congress party leaders use similar terminology. This clearly shows that they have nothing but abuses for Modi, and the public will decide. The public is consistently voting for PM Modi and his government. Given our double-engine government in the states, the public is voting for it, and Rahul Gandhi has no agenda other than abuses."
Critising the Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LoP) over Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Kohli asserted that Rahul Gandhi has no faith in the Constitution and is continuously raising questions against the Election Commission's work.
"SIR isn't just happening in Bengal; it's happening in many states. The Constitution envisages that the Election Commission works to ensure elections are conducted within the constitutional process. The name of a deceased person may be on a voter list. A person's name appears twice. It could be the name of a fictitious person who doesn't exist, the name of an infiltrator, someone who came from abroad. Should these names remain or be removed?... So how can those who have faith in the Constitution and a fair election process oppose this? The public will ask them if they believe in fair elections or not?," the BJP leader added.
The remarks come after Rahul Gandhi took a strong jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, "If you ask him to do a drama for votes, he will. You can make him do anything if you tell Narendra Modi to dance. He will dance."
Lok Sabha LoP was addressing a joint rally with the Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial face, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, in Muzaffarpur to launch his campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections.
He also accused PM Modi of destroying "all the small businesses by implementing demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax."
"Tell me what is written on the back of your phone. Made in China. Narendra Modi ji has destroyed all the small businesses by implementing demonetisation and GST. Wherever you look, it is Made in China. We say that it should not be Made in China, it should be Made in Bihar. Mobiles, shirts, pants, all these should be made in Bihar, and the youth of Bihar should get employment in those factories. We want such a Bihar," he said.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari on Wednesday hit back at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's 'PM Modi will dance for votes' remarks, calling him a "local goon."
Bhandari alleged that Rahul Gandhi has "mocked voters" and "insulted" the poor with his remarks.
In an X post, the BJP leader wrote, "Rahul Gandhi speaks like a 'Local Goon'. Rahul Gandhi has openly insulted every poor of India, & Bihar who has voted for PM Narendra Modi ji! Rahul Gandhi has mocked voters and Indian democracy."
The 2025 Bihar elections are the main contest between the National Democratic Alliance and the Mahagathbandhan. The assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14. (ANI)
