New Delhi [India], August 7 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday said that the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has crossed all limits of "shamelessness" as he continues to target the Election Commission of India over the "vote theft" claim.
Speaking to reporters, the BJP MP said, "Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the opposition and he is giving these kinds of irresponsible statements. He is making embarrassing comments against a constitutional body. We condemn it. This is Rahul Gandhi's anger as the public of the nation does not vote for him."
"Rahul Gandhi has crossed all limits of shamelessness...PM Modi has been winning elections since 2014, and he claims that the results were fraudulent. What do you mean by it? You are disrespecting the public of the nation," he added.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday slammed the Election Commission of India (ECI) and alleged that the elections are "choreographed".
The Congress leader further alleged that the poll body is "destroying evidence" through the directive on only preserving CCTV and webcasting footage of the election process for only 45 days after the whole process is completed, unless the election result is challenged in court.
"The Election Commission is looking to destroy the evidence across the country. It is the 21st century, you can keep as much data as you want in a hard drive, even 10 years old data, but the Election Commission wants to destroy the CCTV footage in 45 days, without giving the voter list. They are colluding with the BJP to destroy the election system in India," Gandhi alleged.
Rahul Gandhi said that the Election Commission is helping the BJP destroy the electoral system in India. (ANI)
