Patna (Bihar) [India], January 30 (ANI): After Rahul Gandhi mocked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for rejoining NDA stating that "little pressure is exerted and he takes a U-turn", newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha came out in defence of the JDU chief and said that Wayanad MP was born with a golden spoon and can never understand the pain of the public.
Addressing reporters in Patna, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha said, "Rahul Gandhi will never be able to understand the social and geographical conditions of this place because he was born with a golden spoon in his mouth. Those who spend time on the ground understand the situation. Dynastic families with criminal and corrupt mindsets can never understand the pain of the public."
Earlier today, Rahul Gandhi said that Nitish Kumar is not needed anymore in their battle to give social justice.
Addressing the public in Purnea, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said," Right now Baghel ji (former Chhattisgarh CM) told me a joke. The joke goes like this...Your Chief Minister took oath at Governor's house. Some of his ministers also took oath. Celebrations were going on. Nitish Kumar decided to go back to his home. Suddenly while going back he realised he has left his shawl at the Governor's house. He went back and met the Governor. Governor was shocked and said you came back so quick this time."
"So this is the condition of Bihar a little pressure is exerted, and he (Nitish Kumar) makes a U-turn," he added.
Also, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that it is "Rahul Gandhi who is solely responsible for the current condition of Lalu Prasad Yadav."
Earlier, Nitish Kumar took the oath as Chief Minister of Bihar for the ninth time in Raj Bhawan, Patna, switching sides again, this time with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
It was for the second time in two years that Nitish Kumar had jumped the ship, his fifth crossover in a little over a decade.
Kumar's decision to align with the BJP led to accusations of him being a "chameleon" and "Paltu Ram" for his frequent shifts in political allegiance.
Tejashwi Yadav, former deputy and RJD leader predicted that JD(U) is on the verge of being "finished" in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Calling Nitish Kumar a 'tired CM', Yadav said, "Khel abhi shuru hua hai, khel abhi baki hain. What I say, I do...I can give you in writing that the JDU party will be finished in 2024. The public is with us..."
The BJP, however, said its alliance with Kumar was "natural" and asserted that the "double engine government" of the NDA would benefit Bihar. Party leaders also claimed that the INDIA bloc would soon disintegrate as the alliance has "no ideological basis".
Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has also said that Kumar's move to split from Mahagathbandhan and to join the NDA was 'pre-planned' and accused the JD(U) Chief of keeping the INDIA bloc in the dark. (ANI)

In an 'X' post, TMC said the government has "ek hi naara, line mein rahe desh bechara," pointing to past governmental measures including demonetisation, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Special Identification Registration (SIR), and now the LPG shortage. The party described demonetisation as a "Tughlaqi farman" that forced ordinary citizens to wait in serpentine queues outside banks and ATMs for days to access their own money.
