Pulwama terror attack: Bollywood expresses anger over horrific killings of jawans

New Delhi [India], Feb 14 (ANI): Bollywood celebrities took expressed their anger and grieved the horrific terror attack that took place in the Kashmir's Pulwama.

New Delhi [India], Feb 14 (ANI): Bollywood celebrities expressed their shock and anger at the horrific terror attack in Kashmir's Pulwama while expressing their condolences to the families of the slain soldiers. 
In the deadliest terror attack on security forces in Kashmir, around 40 CRPF personnel were killed on Thursday when their convoy was targeted in Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
Taking to his Twitter handle Akshay Kumar wrote, “Numb beyond belief at the dastardly terror attack on #CRPF soldiers in Pulwama. May God give peace to their souls, and strength to their grieving families. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. We can’t let this be forgotten.”

Sending his thoughts and prayers for the martyrs’ families, Abhishek Bachchan‏ wrote, “ Such terrible news coming from #Pulwama. Today when people are celebrating love, hate raises its ugly head too. My thoughts and prayers for the martyrs and their families.”

Calling it a cowardly attack on the soldiers, Varun Dhawan, expressing his anger over the incident tweeted, “The Pulwama Terror Attack is a cowardly attack on our soldiers. Heart goes out to our heroes saving our country who have to face an enemy who will hide and attack.”

Vicky Kaushal, who played the lead role in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, wrote, “Deeply saddened and shocked to hear the news of the terror attack in Pulwama . My heart goes out to the families of the brave CRPF soldiers we lost today and praying for the speedy recovery of those injured.”

Expressing his rage of the terror attack, Ajay Devgan wrote, “Horrible and disgusting. Anger can't be put into words. #KashmirTerrorAttack.”

 “Deeply Saddened and so angry to know about the cowardly attack on @crpfindia convoy in #Pulwama. My heart goes out to the members of the family who have today lost a SON, a BROTHER, a HUSBAND or a FATHER. Prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,” wrote Anupam Kher.

Strongly condemning the attack, Riteish Deshmukh tweeted, “Absolutely tragic news coming from #Pulwama - Condolences to the families of the martyrs- & prayers for the injured jawans. Cowards are at it again. Absolutely deplorable. #pulwamaterrorattack.”

Demanding fitting retribution Gul Panag wrote, “Gut wrenching images coming out of #Pulwama We need to hunt down those responsible. And make sure there’s fitting retribution. My deepest condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives in this dastardly act.”

Demanding revenge against those who are behind the attack, R. Madhavan wrote, “#Pulwama Who are these people who are celebrating a win after this dastardly and cowardly attack..is just condemning this enough..wipe out not just their smiles but their faces.. show us our revenge, instill dismay and dread with the retaliation.”

“My deepest thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the Pulwama attacks and their families,” wrote Karan Johar.

A CRPF convoy on its way to Srinagar from Jammu was attacked in Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Thursday afternoon by terrorists, causing heavy casualties.
Around 2500 personnel were travelling in 78 vehicles which were part of the convoy when the incident occurred. (ANI)
