Vadodara (Gujarat) [India], September 23 (ANI): After Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's remarks that they have broken Prime Minister Modi's psychology, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said on Monday that his statement is wrong and psychologically, Rahul could be finished, but Narendra Modi is a strong leader.
"His statement is wrong; Modiji is Modiji, and he will be Modiji. There is no truth to such a statement. Psychologically, Rahul Gandhi could be finished, but Narendra Modiji is a strong leader," Athawale said.
Earlier today, addressing a public rally in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, Rahul Gandhi said that PM Modi has lost his confidence now.
"Saaf dikhta hai ki jo voh phele Narendra Modi the voh Narendra Modi aaj nahin bacha hai'. Whatever the opposition wants them to do, we get it done. They bring a law, but when we stand strong against it, the law is not passed, and they bring a new law. The confidence they had earlier is now finished. We have broken Narendra Modi's psychology," he said.
In another rally at Srinagar today, the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition took a jibe at Prime Minister Modi and said that Narendra Modi was once referred to as having a "56-inch chest."
"He used to speak with pride and confidence, but now the INDIA bloc and Congress have changed Narendra Modi's psychology. He is no longer the same as before. For the past 10 years, wherever Narendra Modi goes, he spreads hatred," he added."Wherever the BJP had opened 'Nafrat ka bazar', we went there and opened 'Mohabbat ki dukaan'. We will continue to do this," Rahul said.
Jammu and Kashmir is voting for its 90-member assembly in three phases. The first phase of voting took place on September 18.
Notably, a voter turnout of 61.13 pc was registered in the first phase of polling in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls, which were held in 24 constituencies in seven districts on September 18.
Voting for the second and third phases in J-K will be held on September 25 and October 1, respectively. Votes will be counted on October 8. (ANI)
