Protesters set ablaze mini-secretariat in south Kashmir
Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Sept. 4 (ANI): Fresh incidents of violence were reported in South Kashmir's Shopian district on Sunday, where the protesters set on fire an under-construction mini-secretariat building, injuring over 80 people. Kashmir has been on the boil post the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8 with curfew continuing in parts of the valley for the 58th day today. Meanwhile, an all-party delegation, led by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, presently in Srinagar for an assessment of the situation due to the unrest in the valley met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and her predecessor National Conference's Omar Abdullah. During the two-day visit, the delegation will interact with Governor N.N. Vohra and the Chief Minister besides holding meetings with the representatives of all political parties and others.(ANI)
