Priyanka Gandhi will be crucial in defeating BJP in UP elections: JD-U

Patna (Bihar)[India], Nov. 19 (ANI): The Janata Dal-United has welcomed the Congress party's decision to use Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for campaigning in Uttar Pradesh, which will have assembly polls next year. It said Priyanka could play a crucial role in defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state.

Patna (Bihar)[India], Nov. 19 (ANI): The Janata Dal-United has welcomed the Congress party's decision to use Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for campaigning in Uttar Pradesh, which will have assembly polls next year. It said Priyanka could play a crucial role in defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. "I am delighted if the Congress has decided to launch Priyanka Gandhi for campaigning in the Uttar Pradesh elections and it is only going to benefit the goal to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party," JD (U) leader Shyam Rajak told ANI. "Our leader Nitish Kumar also reiterated the intention of the party, and with unity, we will defeat the BJP and Priyanka Gandhi will also play a crucial role," he added. The Congress got a fillip in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh (UP) with Priyanka Gandhi agreeing to campaign for the party ahead of the assembly polls early next year. After she reviewed the UP strategy along with party vice-president Rahul Gandhi and selected senior leaders, state unit chief Raj Babbar and poll campaign in charge Sanjay Singh said Priyanka had agreed to campaign for the party but details are yet to be worked out.(ANI)
