"Press polling button with such force that Rahul Gandhi feels its impact": MP CM Mohan Yadav

"When you (public) go to exercise your franchise on polling day, press the button with such force that Rahul Gandhi can feel its impact. It is the only strength to take revenge in democracy," Yadav said.

Palamu (Jharkhand) [India], November 8 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, urging the people of Jharkhand to press the voting button with such force that Gandhi "feels its impact."
CM Yadav made these remarks during a public rally in Panki, Palamu district, on Friday as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) campaign for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.
"You [Congress] have always obstructed the construction of the Ram Mandir. They brought prominent lawyers to the Supreme Court and High Court. When they ran out of lawyers, party members stepped in. Kapil Sibal raised questions about Lord Ram in the Supreme Court--Where was he born? Who saw him? Who verified it? Even after the Supreme Court's judgement in favour of Ram Mandir, they [Congress] remained dissatisfied," CM Yadav said.
He added that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently criticised the Pran Pratishthan ceremony for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, claiming it involved singing and dancing.
"When you [the public] go to vote, press the button with such force that Rahul Gandhi feels it. This is the only way to seek retribution in a democracy," Yadav stated.
In response to a question about Rahul Gandhi's visit to Jharkhand on Friday for the state assembly elections, CM Yadav mocked him, saying Gandhi was a "dud bomb" with no strength left.
"Ye fussi bomb hai, kuch dum nahi hai unme (Rahul Gandhi is a dud bomb, he has no strength). The country has already seen his condition," the CM told ANI.
Meanwhile, Senior Congress leader Manak Agarwal responded to CM Yadav's comments, saying his remarks reflected frustration, as the BJP was poised to lose in the Jharkhand Assembly polls.
"CM Yadav's language is undignified and unbefitting of a Chief Minister. He is speaking out of frustration because the BJP is set to lose in Jharkhand. CM Yadav is not even worthy of the dust on Rahul Gandhi's feet," Agarwal said.
The 81-seat Jharkhand Assembly will hold elections in two phases, on November 13 and 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23. A total of 2.6 crore voters are eligible to participate, including 1.31 crore male voters, 1.29 crore female voters, 11.84 lakh first-time voters, and 66.84 lakh young voters.
In the 2020 Assembly elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won 30 seats, the BJP won 25 seats, and Congress secured 16 seats. In 2014, the BJP won 37 seats, JMM won 19, and Congress managed only 6. (ANI)
