New Delhi [India], Mar. 7 (ANI): President of India Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of veteran socialist leader and eminent Parliamentarian Rabi Ray. "In Shri Ray's death the nation has lost a leader who was always in touch with the grassroots of society," he tweeted. "Heartfelt condolences on the passing away of veteran socialist leader and eminent parliamentarian Shri. Rabi Ray." "I am sad to learn about the passing away of your husband, Rabi Ray who was a freedom fighter, veteran Socialist leader and eminent Parliamentarian," the President tweeted to his wife. "Ray served the nation in various capacities including as Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Speaker of the Lok Sabha. In his death, the nation has lost a leader who was always in touch with the grassroots of society. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I pray to the Almighty to give you and all members of your family the strength to bear this irreparable loss," he added. (ANI)
