President Mukherjee, Vice-President Ansari greet PM Modi on his birthday

New Delhi [India], Sept. 17 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday conveyed his greetings and good wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 66th birthday. In his message, the President said, "Let this day be the beginning of a year of greater achievements in your and our nation's life. May the Almighty bless you with good health, happiness and many more years of dedicated service to the nation." Vice-President M. Hamid Ansari also extended his greetings to Prime Minister Modi. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh also greeted Prime Minister Modi on the occasion. "Best wishes to Prime Minister from me and the people of Chhattisgarh on his birthday; India is fast moving ahead under him. India is reaching new heights under the Prime Minister's leadership. We hope his programmes benefit the public even more. Heartiest birthday wishes to him." Singh told ANI. Prime Minister Modi thanked the President and the Vice-President for their wishes. "I thank Honourable Rashtrapati ji for his kind birthday greetings," he tweeted. "My gratitude to Vice President Hamid Ansari for his wishes," he said in another tweet. Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi met his mother Heeraben Modi at their residence in Gandhinagar and sought her blessings. The Prime Minister also met Chief Justice of India T.S Thakur at the Raj Bhawan. (ANI)
