"Praying for wisdom": RSS leader Indresh Kumar slams Rahul Gandhi for "unbalanced, hate-filled remarks"

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 30 (ANI): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar on Monday criticised Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, urging him to cease making "hate-filled remarks" against the organisation.
Speaking to ANI from Vrindavan, Kumar responded to Gandhi's recent parliamentary attacks by stating that he would pray to the Lord of Vrindavan to grant wisdom to Gandhi, his party, and his supporters.
Defending the ideological foundation of the Sangh, Kumar emphasised that the RSS is an organisation whose top and last priority is the nation.
"The fact is, Rahul Gandhi occasionally makes unbalanced and hate-filled remarks. I am currently in Vrindavan, and I will pray to the Lord of Vrindavan that Rahul Gandhi, his party, and his supporters are granted wisdom. He has consistently made comments against the RSS, an organisation dedicated to patriotism, social service, and the principle of the nation is its top as well as the last priority. Such behaviour is unbecoming of him; he ought to stop this inappropriate conduct," he said.
Indresh Kumar's remarks came a day after Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on the Centre during the discussion on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, in the Lok Sabha.
Participating in the debate, Gandhi alleged that the country's education system had been captured by the RSS and accused the government of denying students the freedom to think independently.
"Our system is terrible, it's cruel... Everything is being privatised... It is an extortion system, it is a brutal, terrible system. The soul of the system has been captured by the RSS," Gandhi said.
He also alleged that the "real enemy" of students was the RSS and claimed that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation would be "superficial" as the Education Ministry was not being run by him.
Meanwhile, Congress MP Tariq Anwar defended Rahul Gandhi's remarks and said that what the Congress leader said during his speech, including his comments regarding Union Home Minister Amit Shah, was not incorrect.
Speaking to ANI on the issue, Tariq Anwar said, "What Rahul Gandhi said in his speech -- and his remarks regarding Amit Shah - was in no way incorrect. His point was clear: as the Home Minister, he should either accept responsibility or if he does not--inform the House that he was unaware of the matter. The latter would expose his shortcoming, revealing that the country's Home Minister is oblivious to the actions being taken by the police in the national capital..." (ANI)
