Post demonetisation, CAs have become new rock stars: K. Kavitha
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Jan. 7 (ANI): Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Member of Parliament (MP) K. Kavitha on Saturday took a jibe at the Centre over the demonetisation move, saying that since the drive started, all the chartered accountants have become rock stars. "I believe after demonetisation, chartered accountants are the new rock stars," said Kavitha while speaking at the inauguration of International Conference for Chartered Accountancy students here. She also condemned the recent molestation incident shaming the metro cities like Bengaluru and Delhi, saying that the conflict between the central government and state government had affected the governance in the national capital. "I am ashamed of using the term unfortunate for national government so many times. The tiff between central government and local government in the national capital has affected the governance," she said. "I'll try to work from my side as a parliamentarian for safety of women," she added. The MP, as the programme concentrated on, also talked about how important CAs are to the country and urged them to work harder for nation's development. (ANI)
