"Politics moves in direction where Nitish Kumar looks": JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar hits out at Tejashwi Yadav

"Who hijacked Lalu Prasad Yadav? Tejashwi Yadav went to meet his father in the ICU after 300 hours... So, has he become defunct? Relieve him from his post, then... Wherever Nitish Kumar looks, politics moves in that direction. This is the belief of the people of Bihar," Kumar told ANI.

Patna (Bihar) [India], April 16 (ANI): Janata Dal (United) or JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar on Wednesday lashed out at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar Leader of Opposition (LoP) Tejashwi Yadav over latter's "hijacked" remark, saying that politics moves in the direction where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar sets his gaze upon.
Speaking on Nishant Kumar's statement that his father will remain the Chief Minister of Bihar after the forthcoming assembly polls, the JD(U) leader argued that his remarks were a "masterstroke" since it brought Tejashwi Yadav to the "pavilion of politics".
"Nishant Kumar did not talk about his participation in politics, yet he has played a master stroke... His statement has brought Tejashwi Yadav to the pavilion of politics," Kumar said.
After meeting with the Congress top leadership to discuss preparations for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday said that the opposition alliance is united and fully prepared to take Bihar forward.
Speaking to the media, Yadav said another meeting with alliance partners will be held on April 17 in Patna.
Further, slamming the NDA, the former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister said that even after 20 years of its rule, Bihar remains the poorest state with the lowest per capita and farmers' incomes and the highest migration rate.
On the question of the Chief Ministerial's face, he said it would be decided unanimously while also declaring that the NDA will not form the government in Bihar at this time."We will discuss and unanimously decide the CM face. 'Nitish Ji to hijack ho chuke hain'. NDA is not forming the government in Bihar this time," the RJD leader said.
Reacting to this later, Nishant Kumar, expressed confidence that his father would retain his position after the next state elections.
Speaking to the media, Nishant Kumar said, "It is an appeal to Bihar's public to give a majority (to JDU) more than what they gave in 2010. Nitish Kumar will undoubtedly become the CM."
Earlier in the day, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also expressed similar sentiments and said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going to retain his post after the Bihar Assembly elections even if the "entire UPA, INDI alliance" fights the polls.
"There is no challenge. Even if the entire UPA and the entire INDI alliance fight, Nitish Kumar will remain the Chief Minister of Bihar," Samrat Chaudhary told reporters in Patna.
A high-stakes battle is expected to take place in Bihar, with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA); consisting of Janata Dal (United) led by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, and the Bharatiya Janata Party fighting against the Mahagathbandan; consisting of Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and left parties.
The Bihar Assembly elections are due to be held later this year. (ANI)
