"Police repression is the final refugee of a failing ruler," says BRS Dasoju Sravan on Harish Rao's arrest

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 5 (ANI): BRS leader Dasoju Sravan Kumar on Thursday criticized Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, calling him a "colossal failure" in his role as CM.
Speaking to ANI, Dasoju accused CM Reddy for "destroying the people of Telangana."
"Police repression is the final refugee of a failing ruler. Unfortunately in Telangana, Revanth Reddy has turned out to be a colossal failure in Telangana as a CM...there is no people's governance in Telangana...what is happening here? I want to ask Rahul Gandhi, how did you make such a man the CM of Telangana...he is destroying the people of Telangana..," he said.
Senior party leader KT Rama Rao condemned the arrest calling it undemocratic.
"If you question the mistakes of the government, cases! Arrests if the party fails to guarantee! Cases if errors in governance are pointed out! Examining the status of students in Gurukul, cases! If the government resists the land grabs, cases! If the houses are being demolished by the government, there will be cases! If you complain that the systems of the government are being misused, there are cases! Cases against people Cases against public representatives," he posted on X.
"Cases to us, Suitcases for you, arrests for us. Arrest of our MLAs, MLCs and leaders along with former ministers, our leaders, Harish Rao, Jagadish Reddy, is undemocratic... they should be released immediately," KTR added in his post.
Earlier in day, BRS leader Harish Rao was detained in Hyderabad. According to Harish Rao's PRO, BRS MLA Harish Rao was arrested and taken to Gachibowli Police station in Hyderabad.

"Strongly condemn the illegal detention of Harish Rao. Condemn the Police Raj in Telangana under dictatorial rule of Shri Revanth Reddy," D. Sravan posted on X.
BRS MLA Harish Rao claimed that MLA Kaushik Reddy faced illegal arrest after complaining about phone tapping at a police station. According to Harish Rao, dozens of policemen arrived at Kaushik Reddy's house, attempting to arrest him without proper grounds.
Harish Rao also stated that he and other BRS leaders were treated unfairly when they questioned the police's actions.
On Wednesday, BRS party claimed that BRS party MLA Kaushik Reddy from Huzurabad visited the Banjara Hills Police Station to file a complaint against Revanth Reddy and Intelligence Chief Shivdhar Reddy, alleging they tapped the phones of opposition leaders.
However, upon his arrival, the Banjarahills CI reportedly fled the scene. Kaushik Reddy expressed outrage, stating that government officials loyal to the ruling party are not being held accountable.

MLA Kaushik Reddy expressed his anger that the government officials who are tooting the horns of the ruling party and doing what they say have not been spared," BRS posted on X on Wednesday. (ANI)
