PM needs to focus on 'own' Kashmir rather on PoK, Balochistan: NCP
New Delhi [India], Sept.5 (ANI): The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has appreciated Narendra Modi's efforts to raise the issue of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and terrorism during the bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and added that the Prime Minister needs to focus on Kashmir rather than Balochistan. Speaking to ANI, NCP leader Majid Memon said despite the Prime Minister's effort, the Chinese will not be receptive to India's concerns as the relation between the two countries "has not been very friendly". "The effort of the Prime Minister to bring about China in our support, both in obtaining membership (NSG) and also in resolving the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir issue and exposing Pakistan as far a terrorism is concerned, but I don't find there would be a very positive and warm response from China, because China has not been very friendly with us all these days," he said. "They have opposed our membership to the NSG and they are not going to apparently interfere in the PoK matter with us. In fact, our 'own' Kashmir is burning for 60 days for which the Prime Minister needs to act urgently rather than talking about PoK and Balochistan," he added. During the talks which took place on the sidelines of the G 20 Summit, undertaking in Hangzhou, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the menace of terrorism, saying the recent attacks show how it is spreading across the world and is, therefore, a matter of grave concern. He also condemned the terrorist bomb attack at China's embassy in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek. The Prime Minister also involved Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (BRICS) members to raise the awareness about the dangers of Pakistan-based terrorism.
