Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) [India], March 14 (ANI): Following the announcement of his candidature for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister Anurag Thakur expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders of the party.
He also said that PM Modi's work and his efforts will help the party "write history" (in the general elections).
"I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders of the party for showing faith in me and choosing me for the fifth time (to contest elections) from Hamirpur constituency. I have full faith that PM Modi's work & my efforts will help us script history..."
The remarks came during an interaction with the media at Kangra airport in Dharamshala.

Earlier on Wednesday the Union Minister in a post on X thanked the party and PM Modi for reposing faith in him.
"I express my heartfelt gratitude to the top leadership of the party for reposing confidence in me for the 5th time from my own Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and for once again making me the Lok Sabha candidate of the world's largest political party, the Bharatiya Janata Party. I am grateful to the respected Prime Minister, respected Home Minister, the BJP National President, the leadership of the Center and the State, who have again given me the opportunity to continue serving the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. We assure that under the leadership of the respected Prime Minister, we will go among the people regarding the achievements of the Central Government and the nationalist policies of Modi ji, and by winning all the 4 seats of Himachal, we will ensure the contribution of Devbhoomi in the resolution of crossing 400" Thakur posted on X.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday released the second list of 72 candidates for Lok Sabha polls, days after releasing its first list of 195 candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi again.
