PM Modi's remarks on Balochistan an aspiration for all: Karzai
New Delhi, Aug 21 (ANI): Endorsing Narendra Modi's remarks made by on the human rights violation in Pakistan's Balochistan province, former Afghan president Hamid Karzai on Sunday said the assertion made by the Indian Prime Minister is an aspiration for all. "The Prime Minister of India spoke of the human rights of the people of Balochistan that their suffering should end and that's an aspiration for all of us, everywhere to have our rights preserved and our sufferings end," Karzai told ANI in an exclusive conversation. Taking on Pakistan for "encouraging" radicalism and not containing terror groups operating from its soil, Karzai yesterday said India is not engaged in any proxy war in Afghanistan and has been sincerely carrying out reconstruction work there. He was of the opinion that India has no intention to go conduct a proxy war in the region as it has a tradition of peaceful co-existence. Prime Minister Modi, in his Independence Day address, had thanked the people of Balochistan, Gilgit and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir for the goodwill they have shown towards him. He had last week in an all-party meeting on Kashmir said the "time has come that Pakistan shall have to answer to the world for the atrocities committed by it against the people in Balochistan and PoK".
