PM Modi will release this first installment of 'Subhadra Yojana' in Odisha on September 17: BJP MP Sambit Patra

On September 17, PM Modi will be in Odisha, where he will launch 'SUBHADRA', the flagship scheme of the Government of Odisha, in Bhubaneswar.

Khordha (Odisha) [India], September 15 (ANI): Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Odisha, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sambit Patra announced on Sunday that the 'Subhadra Yojana' will commence on September 17, with the Prime Minister releasing its first installment, which will be distributed among 1 crore 30 lakh women.
Patra stated, "During the election campaign, PM Modi provided a 'Modi Guarantee' in Odisha, promising that if the BJP formed the government, every woman would receive Rs 50,000 over five years. The process begins on September 17, with around 1 crore 30 lakh women set to receive the first installment of Rs 5,000 through the Subhadra Yojana. PM Modi will release this first installment. Today, a padyatra is being organised in every panchayat in Odisha to raise awareness about the scheme. Our MLA and minister, Prithviraj Harichandan, is also participating in the awareness programme."
On September 17, PM Modi will be in Odisha, where he will launch 'SUBHADRA', the flagship scheme of the Odisha Government, in Bhubaneswar.
The Odisha government has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area on September 17 in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state.
According to the Chief Minister's Office, Odisha, all schools and colleges in the Bhubaneswar metropolitan area will have a holiday on September 17. Prime Minister Modi will officially launch the Subhadra Yojana in Bhubaneswar on that day.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, the 'SUBHADRA' scheme is the largest women-centric initiative and is expected to cover over 1 crore women. Under the scheme, all eligible beneficiaries between the ages of 21 and 60 will receive Rs. 50,000 over five years from 2024-25 to 2028-29.
The Prime Minister will also release the first installment of assistance to nearly 13 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY-G across 14 states. Griha Pravesh celebrations for 26 lakh beneficiaries of PMAY (Gramin and Urban) nationwide will also be held during the programme.
PM Modi will hand over the keys to PMAY (Gramin and Urban) beneficiaries, and he will also launch the Awaas+ 2024 App for surveying additional households for PMAY-G.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will introduce the Operational Guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana--Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0. (ANI)
