"PM Modi went to South Africa to represent India or Indian Mujahideen": Uddhav Thackeray

Coming down heavily on PM Modi over his visit to South Africa when Chandrayaan-3 lander module successfully landed on the moon’s South Pole, Thackeray said, "PM Modi went to South Africa at the time of Chandrayaan 3 lander was landing on Moon. We are proud with this achievement of Chandrayaan 3. BJP once compared INDIA bloc with 'Indian Mujahideen', so when PM Modi travelled to South Africa, did he represent India or Indian Mujahideen?"

Hingoli (Maharashtra) [India], August 27 (ANI): As Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) earlier compared the INDIA bloc with 'Indian Mujahideen', Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday slammed the ruling party asking whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to South Africa to represent India or Indian Mujahideen.
Earlier PM Modi took a dig in its party's parliamentary meeting that as the Britishers named themselves the East India Company and terror organisations like the Indian Mujahideen and the Indian People's Front, all of whom have ‘India’ in them, similarly the Opposition was presenting itself with the name of India.
PM Modi started his four-day formal tour on August 21 for South Africa and Greece. In South Africa, PM Modi attended the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg from August 22-24 at the invitation of the country’s president Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.
Further, hitting out at PM Modi over his decision of asking his leaders to get Rakhi tied from Muslim women, Thackeray said to go and get Rakhi tied from Bilkis Bano.
"I have heard that PM has asked his leaders to get Rakhi tied from Muslim women on this year's Rakshabandhan. I would suggest that they must reach out to Bilkis Bano of Gujarat for Rakhi. She was raped when she was pregnant. Her child was killed in front of her eyes, her relatives were killed. Those who were arrested as culprits of that crime and were in jail are let off by Gujarat government. Go and get Rakhi tied from Bilkis Bano. Its all your hypocrisy. I can't accept this as Hindutva, my father or grandfather didn't teach me this," he said.
In March 2002 during the post-Godhra riots, Bano was gang-raped and left to die with 14 members of her family, including her three-year-old daughter. She was five months pregnant when rioters attacked her family in Vadodara. (ANI)
