PM Modi should reflect while making allegations against opposition: CPI (M)
New Delhi [India], Dec.22 (ANI): The Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Brinda Karat on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should look at his mirror image before making any allegation, adding that the latter gives patronage to big corporate leaders. "I think Mr Modi should stand in front of a mirror and see his own image, and if he sees his own image in mirror and then makes the statement, that will be the truth. It is Mr. Modi who has promoted and given patronage to all those big corporate leaders who owe this country, owe public sector banks, more than Rs 11 lakh crore, if that is not bemaani and dishonesty, then what is dishonesty. Karat further said that Prime Minister Modi travels with them all over India, he patronises them, adding "they are Mr Modi's best friends, and therefore, Mr Modi should look at his mirror image when he uses such words." Prime Minister Modi, who was in Varanasi today, to inaugurate a Trade Facilitation Centre and lay the foundation stone of the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre, hit out at opposition and said that some politicians stand with dishonest people. "I had never thought that some politicians would stand by dishonest people," Modi said while addressing media at Varanasi's Banaras Hindu University. Prime Minister will also inaugurate Crafts Museum, launch schemes, programmes of Textiles Ministry and will interact with booth level Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karyakartas working in the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. Modi's visit came in the wake of allegations against him levelled by Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, and ahead of next year's Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. (ANI)
