PM Modi should clearly define Sharad Pawar's role: Uddhav Thackeray
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Feb. 14 (ANI): Reacting on his earlier statement of 'Modi and Pawar two sides of the same coin', Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should clearly define the role of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founder. "Before elections, Sharad Pawar was criticised and his party was called as 'Natural Corrupt Party', and after elections Modi said that he entered politics with the help of the former. So, what is the truth?.We just want to know that," Thackeray told ANI. Hitting out at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over his 'transparency in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)' comment, Thackeray dubbed the remark as nonsensical, adding that Mumbai topped the list of transparency in the Central Government's report 'Economic Survey of India'. "This certificate has not been attained by me from anywhere, but by the Central Government. So, is the Chief Minister trying to say that the Central Government is incapable of deciding on this. This report of the government shows that his claim of transparency was so nonsensical," he added. Thackeray had earlier said that the Maharashtra Government is on notice period, adding his party members are ready with their resignations. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena are separately contesting the BMC polls which are scheduled for February 21. (ANI)
