Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 30 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday accused the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “lying” and rolling out “red carpet for the corrupt.”
Naidu, who was addressing party workers through teleconference, said: “Prime Minister Modi rolled out red carpets for the corrupt while the BJP is twisting the facts.”
Reacting to Prime Ministers Modi’s statement at Kurnool rally, Naidu said: "Kurnool meeting exposed Modi's vendetta once again. Modi claiming that BJP did a lot for Andhra Pradesh is another cheating. He has betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh."
Prime Minister Modi on Friday said at Kurnool: "Two big things are going to happen with your one vote. On April 11, when the state will go to polls, the sun of Andhra Pradesh will rise and corruption will end."
"We will release a white paper on Andhra Bifurcation Act and prove that what Modi was uttering is wrong,” the TDP chief said.
Naidu alleged that all democratic institutions in the country are crumbling. He further claimed that his party was getting a tremendous response from the people.
“Our campaign is getting a tremendous response. Women across the state are with the TDP only. They are efficiently countering the allegations by the opposition. The same spirit should continue for two more weeks,” Naidu told the party workers.
Claiming that the state remained helpless during 2004-14, Naidu said, “For the first five years when YSR was ruling, Jagan's atrocities were endless. Later, the weak government came causing much trouble. Now we should not give them such a chance.”
Claiming that people are clear about TDP being the “future,” he said: "All sections of the people have clarity that their future is with TDP only. But if we neglect, we will fail.”
Election to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly is scheduled to be held on April 11 simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls for 25 parliamentary seats. The counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
