PM Modi has created more havoc than Hitler, claims Mamata
New Delhi [India]. Nov.24 (ANI): Calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'Hitler' for causing inconvenience to the people through the demonetisation issue, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday criticised the former for failing to undertake concrete steps to recover money from Swiss accounts, and instead harassing the people over the black money issue. "You couldn't even recover black money from Swiss banks, but creating inconvenience for those with white money. You've created more havoc than Hitler," Banerjee said shortly after meeting President Pranab Mukherjee. She also accused the Prime minster of running a "Tuglaqi trade" and not allowing people to withdraw money. She said that wage labourers and jute workers are facing the brunt of the demonetisation drive. "Wage earners who work in tea gardens are adversely affected, their payments are on hold. In many villages there aren't any post offices or banks. When we came in 2011 there were about 700 areas where there were no banks, no post offices," she said. "What is the government doing? It is discriminating, there is a need to raise a voice against this," she added. She further said that the government's decision to demonetise Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes has severely crippled the agricultural sector. The Trinamool Congress chief also said that she will conduct mass rallies in the northern belt against the government. "On November 28 we will conduct a rally in Kolkata, then on November 29 we will conduct a rally in Lucknow, Afterwards in Patna, Punjab and Gujarat. This will fight will continue," she said. (ANI)
