Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], December 16 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the culture of politics in the country.
While inaugurating the party's newly constructed District Karyalaya in Sundar Nagar in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi, Nadda highlighted the transformative impact Prime Minister Narendra Modi has had on the political landscape in India.
Nadda said, "As far as elections are concerned, I would like to discuss a few things with you. PM Modi has changed the culture of politics in India."
He stated that the public perception of elections has evolved, emphasizing the need to understand this shift.
"Media, journalists and everyone else were saying that out of the five states, BJP can win Madhya Pradesh, there is no chance for Chhattisgarh and the party will somehow manage to form government in Rajasthan. But I would like to tell you that the citizens of India have started understanding and viewing elections differently, we need to understand this," Nadda said.
Nadda urged party members to recognize that the citizens of India are eager to embrace the BJP.
"When you go to polls once again in 2024, I would like to tell you that the public is waiting for you," Nadda said.
He contrasted the party's approach with that of the Congress, accusing them of deception and misleading the people. In contrast, he praised PM Modi for consistently serving the nation with honesty.
"You need to believe that they are ready to bless you. The reason is that the Congress has also deceived people, it has always misled them, it has always tried to trick them while PM Modi has always served them with an honest heart," he added.
The BJP chief held a mega roadshow earlier today at Sundar Nagar. The roadshow was organised from Jawahar Park to PWD rest house in Mandi.
Nadda was escorted by a huge crowd of supporters, dancing and cheering his motorcade.
Also earlier today, Nadda and Union Minister Anurag Thakur attended the felicitation ceremony at the Municipal Council ground in Himachal's Bilaspur.
As per party sources, Nadda will participate in BJP's Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra later today in which PM Modi will join through videoconferencing. (ANI)
