Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], August 31 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge Kumari Selja praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the PM is busy with events while people have united with Rahul Gandhi.
“On September 2 Rahul Gandhi is coming and everyone, particularly youths are enthusiastic about it. After Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, there is a massive change and people united with him. PM is busy with his events and as the elections are approaching, they are distributing 50,000 appointment letters, while the promise was to give two crore jobs every year. Youths have understood that there is no future with the BJP,” Kumari Selja said.
Kumari Seljha further accused the government of using central agencies as a tool to press down the opposition and also said on upcoming visits of BJP leaders in the poll-bound state of  Chattisgarh.
“Home Minister Amit Shah visited the state several times. First, they should make it clear what happened when the Congress party issued 'aroop patra' regarding the misrule of fifteen years. Where there are non-BJP governments, they send ED, income tax,” Seljha added.
“We will make our election manifesto based on the suggestion of the people.” She said further.
Congress Chhattisgarh in charge also replied to the remarks given by Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis on the INDIA alliance where he said that it will not make any impact and the shops of all dynast parties are being shut due to PM Modi.
“They should first look after the dynasty prevalent within their party and they should also look after what they have done in Maharashtra. Fadnavis ji, who was earlier the CM, is satisfied after becoming the Deputy CM,” she said.
Five states – Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram - will go to the polls by the end of this year. BJP is in power in Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the third formal meeting of the opposition bloc INDIA alliance will be held on Friday where leaders of all 28 political parties will finalize the logo, coordination committee, and action plan for the next Lok Sabha Polls.
Several leaders of the opposition INDIA bloc exuded confidence that they would prove to be a formidable opponent for the government.
The meeting will discuss the alliance strategies for the Lok Sabha election and the seat sharing in the states. A new logo of the INDIA alliance is also likely to be launched.
A total of 28 parties are likely to participate in the third meeting of the newly formed opposition alliance in Mumbai. (ANI)
