Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 16 (ANI): Addressing his public meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Samajwadi Party and Congress and claimed that both parties are struggling to save their deposit and in an attempt to the same they are trying to replicate Trinamool Congress Bengal politics here in UP.
The PM was holding the rally in favour of BJP candidate Vinod Kumar who is up against Lalitesh Pati Tripathi of the Trinamool Congress and Harishankar of the BSP. Lalitesh is the son of former UP Chief Minister Kamla Pati Tripathi. Tripathi has support from both the SP and the Congress.
"In Bhadohi, it's difficult for SP and Congress to save their deposit and hence they're doing a political experiment here. They want to do a trial of TMC's Bengal politics. TMC politics means 'poisonous arrow of appeasement'... Many BJP leaders like Manish Shukla were killed there and TMC's MLAs said 'Hinduon ko Ganga me dubo kar maar denge'. SP is trying to take UP in this direction," said PM.
Taking a sharp dig at SP's Akhilesh Yadav PM said after BSP chief Mayawati came out the alliance with SP once she came to their reality they bring out "new Bua" in form of Mamata Banerjee.
"...'Pehale wali bua SP waalon ko pehachaan gayi aur inhe chhor diya isliye ab Bengal se bua lekar aaye hain'... I want to ask 'Babua', the 'Shehzada' of SP, that your 'bua' is so close to you and has come all the way from Bengal, have you ever asked her why she calls the people of UP outsiders in Bengal?..."
Further, PM Modi speaking about vocal for local said, "We are trying everything for vocal for local, one district one product, in SP govt it was 'one district one mafia'... Since Yogi ji has assumed the power 'pura mahaul badal gya hai' "
Ahead of this PM held a rally in UP's Jaunpur and asserted that in the coming five years, Modi and Yogi are going to change the "picture" and "fate" of Purvanchal, adding that he aims to make India a 'Viksit Bharat'. Addressing a rally in Jaunpur, PM Modi asserted that winning even a single seat in UP is difficult for the INDIA bloc.
"I pledge to build a developed India and the growth engine of developed India will be Purvanchal, Eastern India. This entire region is becoming a strong hub of health and education. In the coming five years, Modi-Yogi is going to change both the image and the fate of Purvanchal," PM Modi said.
The voting in Bhadohi will take place in the sixth phase on May 25. The counting of the votes will be held on June 4. (ANI)
