Petrol price hiked by Rs. 1.34, Diesel by Rs.2.37

New Delhi [India], Oct. 15 (ANI): The prices of petrol and diesel have been increased by Rs. 1.34 and Rs. 2.37 per litre, respectively, from the Saturday midnight.

New Delhi [India], Oct. 15 (ANI): The prices of petrol and diesel have been increased by Rs. 1.34 and Rs. 2.37 per litre, respectively, from the Saturday midnight. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) said the current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and the Indian National Rupee (INR)-United State's Dollar (USD) exchange rate warrant increase in the selling price of petrol and diesel, adding that the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision. "The movement of prices in the international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes," the officials said. The new rates will be effective from midnight. Prices were last revised on October 4, where the petrol was hiked by 14 paise per litre and the price of diesel was slashed by 10 paise per litre.
