Lakhimpuri Kheri (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 25 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said on Thursday that after 5-10 years, people will forget Samajwadi Party and Congress will disappear after the 2024 elections.
Addressing a public meeting here today, Rajnath emphasised that big economists and financial firms all over the world are saying that the Government of India has succeeded in lifting 25 crore people out of poverty in 8-9 years.
"The President of India Overseas Congress (Sam Pitroda), who has also been the advisor of the Congress here, is saying that there is a kind of system in America that should be implemented in India also. If the head of the family dies, then 55 per cent of the property owned by him will come into the possession of the government and only 45 per cent will remain with the family. What do these people want to do? In which direction do you want to take the country?" he said.
He further alleged that Congress after independence, has never thought about the development of the country's eternal culture.
"Today we all need to be cautious. Nothing can be said about when and what these people will do, even after independence, Congress never thought about the development of our eternal culture. It is the responsibility of every government of the country to protect the heritage of India. BJP is the only party in the country that does what it says. We had said that the day we got the majority in both Houses, we would abolish Article 370, and as soon as we got the majority, we did it. Ram Lalla has gone from his hut to the royal palace, which means that Ram Rajya has started in India," Rajnath Singh said.
Sharpening his attacks on Congress, the Defence Minister said that Congress did not build roads on the India and China border because they were afraid that the Chinese would enter India.
"Today we are rapidly developing infrastructure on the borders. If someone comes, the necessary answer will be given. Till 2014, Arms and Ammunition used to come from other countries of the world but this year alone we have produced more than Rs 1 lakh crore in defence material. I think after 5-10 years' people will forget Samajwadi Party. Congress will disappear after 2024 elections," he added. (ANI)
